This exceptional natural coffee comes from the Halo Beriti Washing Station, established in 2014 and working with over 750 smallholder farmers in the heart of Yirgacheffe. These farmers grow coffee on small plots using traditional methods, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides.
This lot is part of a special preparation, meaning cherries were carefully hand-sorted multiple times throughout the harvest and drying process. Only the ripest and highest-quality cherries were used, then dried slowly on raised beds with constant rotation for even drying. The result is a clean, fruit-forward profile with added clarity and complexity. These lots are processed and stored separately, and only a small number of bags are produced each year.
Grown at elevations of 2,100 to 2,300 MASL in Yirgacheffe’s tropical climate and nutrient rich soil, this coffee showcases everything the region is known for. Look for vibrant fruit character, delicate florals, and the signature berry like sweetness that defines the best Ethiopian naturals.
